Green Zone 8/10

The Fog

Lamentable remake of John Carpenter's 80s horror, not helped by mumbled dialogue and a dreadful sound design.

History is the lies of the victors coupled with the delusions of the defeated. It is an imagined certainty created at the point where the imperfection of memory meets the inadequacy of documentation.

Batman and Harley Quinn: the worst DC movie, ever made.

Yes, it is worse than Bats V Supes/ Suicide Squad/ Batman and Robin and Itallian Batman. I have nothing positive to say about it, it's awful in every aspect (except Kevin Conroy).

I hope there's a hell, just so there's a place worthy of this film.

"And then he is gone and Lazarus is left alone to wonder which is worse - a God that does not care to understand His creation or a God that thinks that he does." Lazarus by John Connolly.

Terminator 3:

I’d never actually managed to watch this movie all the way through before.

Having done so now, I found that it wasn’t bad. Not great, not awful. After watching it with my son I’d give it a 7/10. If I had watched it alone I’d probably be feeling less generous, maybe a 6.

The original films were built on the idea of “no fate but the fate we make”. As is the 4th to a certain extent. But Terminator 3 explores the idea of fate as being effectively “locked in” no matter how much you try to f*** with it.

I am an unabashed fan of the original, the first sequel, and Terminator: Salvation (the 4th film). I haven’t seen the 5th movie, Genisys, yet.

The first two Terminators were masterpieces in my book.

(Genesys is on my list, as well as the 4th one. [To view that is])

The 4th Terminator movie didn't get great reviews and wasn't all that popular.

I really liked it though, I thought it explored some very interesting themes and presented a post-apocalyptic world very well.

The trailer in the states gave away key plot points Sad

Soldier Blue

Disturbing western about the prelude to (and the reality of) the massacre of a natie village in the US

Well acted and possessed of superb visuals. Roy Budd's score is unimaginative and ill-suited.

Primer: 10/10

This movie has everything that mainstream Hollywood doesn't have. It's a smart film for smart people. It doesn't spoon-feed you anything. The plot is hard to understand and you just have to figure it out by yourself. Git Gud.
