I had an uncle who ultimately took his own life twenty years ago because he couldn't deal with the post-traumatic stress disorder he developed after having a gun held to his head by a Viet Cong soldier when he was captured during the Vietnam war. He was saved by another Anzac soldier who was able to take out the gunman in time. When he came back from that hellish war, he wasn't the same gentle, artistic country boy I had known, but an emaciated creature with schizophrenia and haunted eyes.

Kindly don't make light of that to refer to a movie.

RE: Favourite and least favourite actors
There was a British actor some years ago called Denholm Elliot, who was very good. He was in the original 'Alfie', and much later a TV drama called Bangkok Hilton, which starred Nicole Kidman before she was famous. Ben Kingsley is also good.

The list of bad actors is much longer (although I could probably name some good ones if I thought hard enough). Samuel L Jackson can't act for toffee - just shouts and doesn't even seem to know how to deliver lines so they sound like well-known English sentences. Gary Oldman is appalling. Cameron Diaz can do light comedy, but sucks like electrolux when she tries to take on anything heavy. Kenneth Branagh is gauche and mannered.

History is the lies of the victors coupled with the delusions of the defeated. It is an imagined certainty created at the point where the imperfection of memory meets the inadequacy of documentation.

Morgan Freeman is a very good actor. Very natural and understated.

Ray Winstone is one of the worst 'actors' I have ever seen (I use the quote marks, because he doesn't act - he just memorizes lines and recites them).

Morgan Freeman is excellent. It is hard to think of a better actor.

I think Kevin Spacey is a very good actor as well.

My grandmother describes his voice as being like velvet.
I see it as Godly.

Most of the cast of Friends are dreadful actors.

I never liked Friends, this was one of the reasons.
