DLC and Microtransactions
Am I the only person here who hates microtransactions? Probably not.

RE: DLC and Microtransactions
UPDATE: Check this shit out.

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/sta...ontroversy

TL;DR: In Star Wars Battlefront 2 (published by Electronic Arts of course) there are unlockable characters that are superior to the default characters. In order to unlock them, you have to either pay extra money or play the game for 40 hours.

I honestly don't know how EA is going to recover from this. I'm proud to say that I don't give EA any of my money.

This decision might finally kill EA. For years, EA has been widely regarded as one of the worst corporations in the gaming industry ... and then they pull this shit even though their reputation is already in danger. This might just sink the company.

Loot boxes are a legal loophole, where companies like EA can provide the means for children to gamble. The government and Pegi will not care until a big story comes out in which someone is £300,000 in debt.

Then it will be the fault of all video games.

RE: DLC and Microtransactions
Micro transactions in some games aren’t too bad such as Kirby Deluxe or Pokémon Rumble World. You get bonuses for using the store and in Rumble you get stuff that is permanent and the transactions are disabled after you buy all the options. Nintendo Badge Arcade's micrtransactions aren’t too bad either as they cost a dollar and you can get exclusive background themes for your 3DS occasionally.

Milo: Kate Moss isn't stuck in a sewer.
Helga: Gee I don't know. When you think about it is there no sewer BIGGER than the world of professional modelling?

Another recent video game shows us what happens when kids gamble.

... as always.

I remember when I was a teenager and there was a sitcom called Reba. My mom and sister loved that show but I hated it. The show was full of shameless stereotypes. Yeah, let's empower single moms by insulting men and attractive blonde women. That show was idiotic.

There was one episode where the little boy in the show got a Gamecube. Reba was concerned about the kid playing violent video games. I was like "It's a fucking Gamecube you dumb bitch!" Am I supposed to believe that a kid is going to shoot up his school after playing Mario Sunshine?

Ironically, it's always the Christian conservatives who lash out at video games. This is ironic because conservatives think that shell-shocked war vets should have guns.
