Optimistic Thread
In this thread, post anything that makes you think "The future is going to be alright!"

Have a lovely day! Big Grin

He would be 79 when he takes office. And 83 at the end of his first term. 87 at the end of his 2nd term.

I remember significant debate over Reagan's age in 1980. He was 69.

I love Bernie Sanders. His age may count against him but I'd still love to see him go for it.

Bernie may be old but, unlike Reagan, he knows how to let go of the world that he grew up in.

He isn't locked in the past.

I'd definitely vote for him, but I also understand if he doesn't want to try again. Elizabeth Warren would be just as good.

RE: Optimistic Thread
I have some more optimism for you all.

Think that kids today are being raised by crappy shows? Worry no more.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinotrux

Quote:A prehistoric world, set in the Mechazoic era, is populated by hybrid dinosaur-construction vehicles called Dinotrux, and by hybrid reptile-tools called Reptools. Two best friends, Ty, a Tyrannosaurus Trux, and Revvit, a Reptool, must team up with other inhabitants of the world to defend their community and their work from an evil Tyrannosaurus Trux, named D-Structs.

I literally laughed out loud while reading that. Several times. Best premise ever?

Today's kids are going to be just fine.

My contract at work was going to end next week. However, they are going to keep me on as a temp, which could turn into a new fixed-term or even permanent contract!

No attempts at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my hear a deep and burning hatred for the Tory Party … So far as I am concerned, they are lower than vermin.

Bernie must have been genuine if Hillary (same party) took the trouble to cheat him out of the presidency; I hope he runs again for president.
