RE: Your Weather?
Hey, 142857, I hear you guys in Sydney had a cyclone today and damage all over the place. How are you getting on up there?

We're due 27 C tomorrow, 29 Wednesday, and holding clear as a bell. So it looks like summer has arrived for Canberra.

After being threatened with high winds and hail, I moved my car under the porch so it wouldn't get golfballed. Haven't noticed any hail. But funnily, I noticed the temperature up here was two degrees above the heat. No wonder I've had a headache.

It was wintry (by Sydney standards) today. Topped out at 19C.

It was actually a tornado, a twister, that struck the northern suburbs of Sydney. People in the media have a tendency to call them "mini cyclones", which is wildly inaccurate. I work in the city and live in the southern suburbs, so I missed out on all the excitement.

Nothing so dramatic here. Cold, grey, still.

History is the lies of the victors coupled with the delusions of the defeated. It is an imagined certainty created at the point where the imperfection of memory meets the inadequacy of documentation.

29 C here today; we've got the air conditioner going full bore. My desert roses, bottle brushes and jasmine are all blooming in the garden, plus the lime tree is fruiting again (although it does do that all year 'round, but there's a lot more during the summer months). The sugar anap peas I planted over the winter months are also full of pods and flowers, we've been eating them in everything and I gave some to my mum yesterday when she dropped by to visit.

Warm again. Well, brisk, I guess. Not really cold. Almost changed my jacket, but then I decided I wanted to get to class on time.

Dark here also

I'm not anti-social; I'm just not user friendly.
