RE: Rate the Last Movie U Watched
I've seen a lot of movies lately.

The Founder 9/10
Great movie about Ray Kroc and how he "Founded" McDonald's (read, stole it from the McDonald Brothers) Michael Keaton plays the lead role and is great in the movie.

Alien 3 9/10
Great movie that's the third movie of the Alien series. The third one is still fresh.

Race 9/10
Great movie about Jesse Owens and the 1936 Olympics. It's a shame it was not represented at the Oscars.

Jackie 7.5/10
Mediocre movie about Jackie Kennedy. It jumps around a lot and is therefore hard to follow at times, and it really doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know or that hasn't been done. However, Natalie Portman's performance is outstanding. (I don't care what Captain Jigglypuff says.)

Manchester by the Sea 7/10
I'm pretty sure the main character in this movie is supposed to be autism spectrum, although the word is never used. This is another movie that jumps around time a lot and is therefore hard to follow. Casey Affleck's performance is good, though. The movie is too long for something like this, and it has a hard time finding a central story thread.

Network 8.5/10
Great movie that makes some good points about television and how much control the media has over us.

"Some prisoners spent more than ten years buried in solitary cells the size of coffins, hearing nothing but clanging bars or footsteps in the corridors. They survived because they could talk to each other by tapping on the wall. In that way, they told of dreams, memories, and fallings in and out of love; they discussed, embraced, and fought; they shared beliefs, beauties, doubts, guilts and those questions that have no answers.
When it is genuine, when it is born of the need to speak, no one can stop the human voice. When it is denied a mouth, it speaks with the hands, the eyes, the pores, or anything at all because every single one of us has something to say to the others, something that deserves to be celebrated or forgiven by others."-Eduardo Galeano

Wake Wood

Creepy horror with many deft touches, but a clunky script and some weak continuity.

A young girl is resurrected by hear parents, but turns out to be dangerous in her new life. Who would have thought it?

Arrival. A bit like Interstellar in terms of its themes, but the revelation is just annoying and depressing.

Some people just need a high-five.
In the face.
With a chair.

Overall a good movie that shows the horror of the Vietnam War. It really doesn't have a central plot, though.

I watched that one all the way through in my first year of college. It gave a gritty realistic feel to it.... almost too real. ._.
