I wish the Jianshi was more common in western culture. A Jianshi is a corpse that has come back to life and moves around in little hopping steps with their arms stretched out in Asian mythology. They can absorb life energy by touching a person and are also called hopping vampires. Hsien KO from the Darkstalkers series is the best known example of a Jianshi and they were in the last world of Super Mario Land on the Gameboy.
