The strike was bad for everyone. All costs went up.

Consider this case: an old lady heard about the truckers movement early on and donates $40 to their fund. Maybe she thought it was just going to be a one day demonstration. She might have never agreed with the blockades later. Her name is published as a donor and she is afraid that her bank account will be frozen in punishment.

Over 200 individuals had their bank accounts frozen because they made donations.

These same politicians are talking about making laws for “hate crimes” which they cannot really define. But also for “spreading false information” which really depends on their opinion.

For example if X cuts off Y in traffic and Y gives the fingers and calls X a blank blank blank and X gets some video of the exchange but not the original event. X might be “this was hate related” and due to the choice of words by Y. Y is getting fined or punished banned from life.
